Earlier this year, Dr Bill Frankland, one of the founder members and past president of BSACI, was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday honours list and awarded an MBE (see adjacent photo) for his outstanding contributions to allergy research.

On 27th October he attended a ceremony at Buckingham Palace and was awarded the honour by HRH The Duke of Cambridge. Dr Frankland said that it was ‘a delightful honour and privilege to receive this Award’.  Click here to find out more.

On Monday July 13th, Dr Frankland received an award of The League of Mercy which BSACI supported together with The Not Forgotten Association at Mansion House, in London for his commitment to the Commonwealth, Great Britain, humanity and to medicine a career of which spanned over 78 years. The photo shows Dr Frankland with Colonel Piers Storie-Pugh OBE, from the 'Not Forgotten Association'.
