A message from the BSACI nurses group to our nurse members

We are thinking of all the nurses in our allergy community in these challenging times and our respective clinical teams across the UK.

We understand that many nurses have been redeployed or are waiting to nurse patients in other parts of the NHS organisations they work in. Many will feel that they are stretched more than ever helping with the COVID 19 effort as well as giving the high quality nursing care to the patients left in their primary role. Some may feel some disconnection from the speciality in which they have worked tirelessly and passionately in.

We would like to offer support and share experiences across our BSACI nurses group. We hope to network with you and hear your experiences at our annual conference in October 2020. This is a few months away and we are keen to hear from you before then.

If you want to discuss your current situation and link in with allergy colleagues during this time please e-mail [email protected] or [email protected]. Our aim is to set up a WhatsApp group and arrange some regular virtual meet ups for those who are interested.

Please also look out for and complete our short survey on allergy nursing careers in this 2020 WHO declared Year of the Nurse. We hope to mark and celebrate this special year and present our findings as part of the conference.
