Emerade supply issue alert

You will probably already be aware of the current supply issues with Emerade, which has come soon after the concern mentioned in our last email, about an alert relating to a small number of Emerade pens being at risk of not firing. The BSACI have been working closely with the DHSC and MHRA and you should be aware of this alert issued on the 1st August 2019 – full details can be read here.

Given these new issues, on the background of the supply problems we have been experiencing since last year, the directors of the BSACI will be writing formally to the MHRA in order to raise our concerns about the ongoing resilience of the AAI supply chain, with a view to discussing how we can work together to ensure that we are doing what we can, proactively, to minimise the risk of further problems.
