BSACI announces the death of Professor Barry Kay

It is with great sadness that BSACI announces the death of Professor Barry Kay, who passed away on 30th December 2020 after a long illness. Barry was Head of the Department of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College London and the Royal Brompton Hospital Allergy Clinic from 1980 to 2004. Latterly he was Professor Emeritus at Imperial.

He was a past President of the BSACI (1993-96) as well as a past President of EAACI. His professional achievements in the field of Allergy and Asthma were considerable.  

Barry was a great friend and inspiration to so many of us and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go to Barry’s family at this very sad time.
