RSM: Anaphylaxis to food, drug and venom: mechanisms, management & lessons learnt

There have been several high profile cases of fatal anaphylactic reactions in the last three years. In order to prevent these from happening we need to learn from these tragic events, increase awareness of the risk factors for fatal anaphylaxis and optimise treatment strategies. The RSM Allergy and Clinical Immunology Section is bringing together leading experts in the management of anaphylaxis in both adults and children to provide a comprehensive overview of this topic.
EAACI Drug Hypersensitivity Meeting 2020 (DHM 2020)

DHM 2020 is an interdisciplinary meeting, bringing together researchers and physicians from different disciplines to exchange their most up-to-date data in this continually evolving field and to transfer them into clinical practice. It is the leading event of its kind, attracting up to 500 physicians and researchers from all over the world.
As part of our scientific programme researchers will discuss their latest findings on pathomechanisms and clinicians will share their insights on diagnosis and therapeutic options for the various drug allergy reactions. The best posters will be presented at the end of each session, enabling young researchers to discuss their findings. There will also be a pro/con arena where drug allergy experts will debate about premedication and penicillin challenges.
EAACI Congress 2020

The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) is bringing to London its biggest event of the year under the theme “Bridging Innovations into Allergy Prevention” on 6-10 June in London Excel.
Contemporary allergology will be explored with topics such as the airway microbiome, trained innate immunity, discovering the exposome and its downstream effects, the use of big data and artificial intelligence to push technology forward and focusing on prevention rather than treatment.
BSACI is also pleased to announce the EAACI/BSACI Day on Saturday 6 June, which will explore contemporary allergology themes with a focus on the United Kingdom context. Stimulating talks on food allergy and anaphylaxis, prevention and cure of the allergy epidemic, and ways to conquer asthma in the new decade will be delivered by top level experts.
