Harry Morrow Brown Memorial Lectureship - BSACI

Harry Morrow Brown Memorial Lectureship

Every other year BSACI honours Dr Harry Morrow Brown who pioneered the use of inhaled steroids in the 1970s, leading to the development of beclomethasone (Becotide). Dr Morrow Brown remained an active participant at the BSACI Meetings throughout his working life and during his retirement and passed away in 2013. He left the society a bequest in his will to establish an international or national paediatric focused lectureship with emphasis on the practical application of scientific research to clinical practice, bridging the gap between the laboratory and the clinic.  Lecturers are chosen and voted on by BSACI Council.
